Business Resiliency Manager
Gail Moraton joined the Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) in 2011 as the business resiliency manager. She is in charge of the IBHS’ OFB-EZ® program, a streamlined business continuity planning tool and the EZ-PREP program, an emergency preparedness and response planning guide both for small businesses. She is responsible for the promotion and education of business continuity; with a specific focus on small to mid-sized businesses.
Previously, Gail worked for Mercury Insurance Group in Clearwater, Florida for twenty-five years. The last position she held was as their Business Continuity Program (BCP) Officer and Senior Business Systems Analyst. As Mercury’s BCP Officer, she developed, implemented and maintained Mercury’s BCP program for 5,000+ employees. She served as the Corporate Communication alternate leader on their Crisis Management Team. In addition, she created and maintained the Company’s business continuity employee portal on the Company’s Intranet, customized and administered the Company’s Incident Management System and was the chief notification system administrator responsible for the crisis communication for the entire enterprise.
Gail is a Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) issued by DRI International. She has been a member of the Association of Contingency Planners, Greater Tampa Bay Chapter since 2009. She held the role of Chapter Director of Programs in 2012, and has held the position of Director of Membership since January 2013. In addition, Gail is an executive board member for the Suncoast Safety Council in Clearwater, FL since February 2013.
